THE PROCESS FOR CLINICIANS

The process for obtaining Scoliosis Wears for your patients, or patients referred to you, is different than traditional practice. If you are interested in offering Spine Wears as an option for your patients, please contact us directly.

IRREVERENT INNOVATION.

THE ORDERING PROCESS

A Clinical Specialist representing UNYQ will meet with the physician/clinician and the patient during a regularly-scheduled appointment. This representative will take the following of the patient:

  • A 3D scan of the patient from head to mid-thigh,
  • A handful of images to show posture, and areas of concern (i.e. bony prominences, abrasions, unique anatomical features, etc.)
  • Measurements form (coming soon)

The patient and/or family member will be given an intake form to complete onsite and returned to the representative with a copy of his/her insurance card. (Perhaps we do this first).

The clinician will need to provide the following information regarding the patient: A detailed diagnosis. For scoliosis, this will include curve location and magnitudes Any relevant medical history or concurrent medical conditions

Current medical images of the spine, preferable X-Rays from the posterior viewpoint within last 30 days.

Upon patient’s acceptance of financial obligations, after benefits have been assessed, brace design will begin. Delivery of the brace is typically 30 days from receipt of all necessary materials listed above.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH SPINE WEARS

Spine Wears is delivered with a full set of pads and straps (pre-installed), as well as replacement components that can be used to customize the correction of the curve(s). The clinical specialist local to you will meet with each patient once the brace has been delivered to ensure a good fit.
