An above knee amputee since the age of nine, Lacey Henderson has not let limb differences stand in her way. Lacey is sporting one of our women’s prosthetic covers. Always an active individual she started competing in cheerleading at the high school level and went on to receive scholarships to compete throughout her college career.
Following graduation Lacey began competing in track and field. She is currently the US record holder in her competition categories for the 200m and the long jump. She is now setting her sights on the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games to compete in the Paratriathlon. Lacey also finds time to give back to the amputee community by mentoring teenage girls with body image issues relating to their limb differences. Lacey’s ultimate goal is to not waste any opportunities that come her way and to be an example of what is possible, even in the toughest situation. View Lacey’s and other featured prosthetic covers.
